Optician’s Pick – Nathaniel
We’ve featured opticians from Noblesville to Michigan City, but our next featured optician, Nathaniel, is unique from the rest. He has the privilege of floating from office to office and helping patients from many communities around Indiana find their perfect pair of glasses. Nathaniel’s favorite part of the job is that there really is no typical day because he has the opportunity to work with many doctors and patients, often making quick, impactful frame selections while other days he troubleshoots existing orders for Midwest Eye Consultants patients. Every day is new, exciting and full of challenges.
Nathaniel believes that what sets Midwest Eye Consultants apart is understanding the motivations and needs of their patients, which he fully embodies with each frame and lens selection. Listening ensures that patients are best set up with the frame and lens that truly work best for them, their line of work and hobbies. His favorite part of the job is ensuring his patients’ success in their new eyewear selections through both fashion and function.
When choosing a frame for a patient, Nathaniel looks for a smile that shows they are feeling good about the selection and that their personality is well-represented. His current favorite frame is the Oakley Latch 008 (pictured). Having a wider face shape was always a challenge for his stylistic desires and this Oakley frame provides the wide and trendy round shape that he has seen others look great in! This frame is originally sunwear, but he chose to fit it with clear lenses for everyday wear.
