We are combating COVID-19. And you can too! Here are some ideas to stay healthy and help our community.
Our team is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our patients, staff and community, but we can’t do it alone. As a community, we can unite to make an impact!
We need you to stay home, if you need to go out, practice social distancing. Social distancing is one of the most important ways to stop the spread of COVID-19. Together, our community must commit to social, but not emotional, distancing. There are many new ways that we can continue to be there for others.
Here are many small ways you can stay healthy and help our community today.
- Utilize sidewalk chalk to create inspirational messages on your neighborhood sidewalks.
- Call or text your neighbors to check-in, especially if they’re older.
- Offer to pick up groceries for them if you have the time or means.
- Offer to help a senior in your neighborhood with yard clean up.
- Donate blood. Extra precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of the donor, so give blood if you can.
- Reach out with a phone call to people who have lost their jobs or live by themselves. A kind word and offering comfort goes a long way in helping people know you care.
- Resurrect rock painting. This one is great for the entire family.
- Put special messages on them: be strong, look for rainbows, we are in this together.
- Paint rainbows and clouds.
- Place the rocks in parks, in town and where people will find them while they are out walking.
- Share recipes online. People are home cooking up a storm. Post some easy recipes.
- Complete a household task you’ve been putting off.
- Participate in virtual community groups.
- Start a virtual book club
- Donate extra food and clothing to local shelters.
- Use your creative talents to help entertain others.
- Play an instrument and post it online.
- Create games to keep kids occupied and share them online.
